Does anyone know how Jerry had these in order? Groove Tubes Pre Amp > Real Tube Reverb > McIntosh Power Amp? Or Real Tube Reverb > Groove Tubes Pre Amp> McIntosh Power Amp? How was his Twin/McIntosh wired?
I don't know about that 90's rig, but with the Twins he used in every other era, the reverb comes after the pre-amp including the tone stack and channel volume. This makes a significant difference which is why the dedicated surf guys almost exclusively go with external spring units in front of the amp to get their classic sounds. Amp reverb doesn't do the same thing and vice versa.
In the SMS CTP, theres effects loop mini bias like pots for the reverb. I was curious if anyone has messed with it at all and if anyone has messed with the reverb modules. I find this very interesting for sure. Ive been A/Bin my SMS and this Milkman amp... awesome stuff.
