I'm thinking about taking some shots at cutting some dimarzio super d's in half to make two single coil sized pickups for those of us that want that true split super sound without having to install or route for a humbucker.
I figure if I'm going to be doing this its pretty labor intensive and requires some parts that I'll definitely have leftovers of (the brass to make new baseplates) and might as well order some extra magnets!
Anyone wanna throw down with me? I figured someone could buy the pickup- and I could buy the magnets, brass and pickup covers and the tap and do the work.
Or shoot if anyone else wants to do the work I'd be willing to send you the humbucker if you send me a single coil back! haha! either way I need one for my strat.
