I've been messin around with this lately and thought I'd post a few things.

I'll use just two note voicings but you can definitely strum this fuller as long as you keep the melodic flow in the voicing.

---A-----------------------------------G
b-----------5-7-5--------------5-------------3
g--6--7-6-7-6-7-6---6-7-6--6-7-6--6-6po4---4-4
d--7--7-7-7---------7-7-7--7-7----7-7po5-5-5

---A---------------------G---------D-----A
b-----------5-7-5--------------3---3---3-2-
g--6--7-6-7-6-7-6---6-6po4---4-4---2---2-2--
d--7--7-7-7---------7-7po5-5-5-----4-4---2-

Here's a different variation

---A------------------------------------G
e--5--7-5-7-9-10-9---5-7-5--5-7-9--5-5po3---3-7
b--------------------------------------
g--6--7-6-7-9-11-9---6-7-6--6-7-9--6-6po4-4-4-7

---A----------------------G--------D----A
e--5--7-5-7-9-10-9---5-5po3---3-7--5--5-5-
b--------------------------------------
g--6--7-6-7-9-11-9---6-6po4-4-4-7--7-7--6

Nice one! Thanks Bill! I like to do a little sliding around in there too to give it that flavor that Warren & Jimmy would do when playing w/ P&F.

I think this has inspired me to bring it to the band too!

Always loved this tune. I'd learned it pretty well a long time ago, but then hadn't played it in quite a while. I was listening to 1-3-70 and that inspired ME to check it out again.

Definitely some nice slide work by jg on this tune. I actually haven't heard warren & jimmy play this.

Another favorite of mine w/jg on the slide are the older row jimmys.

DP25 (i think...its maroon with the man holding the reel on the cover, from 78) is very slide heavy all over a bunch of tunes...all the way to the last drop of werewolves
