Looking to get a couple studio monitors and a sub. What do you use? I'd like to buy new, maybe $1-2k. Mostly for mixing multi-track recordings of jambands.

I've looked at the Yamaha HS8 and the Neumann KH80 (and sub). Genelec has been recommended...

I've heard great things about Focal's studio monitors. But I'm prejudiced. I own and love my set of Focal stereo speakers - great bang for the buck.
