Yeah I don’t know sounds good in theory, but it don’t jive with my sensibilities. I’m constantly going around turning off lights in the house, etc. I don’t like to be surrounded by live electric current.
So you leave your rig on 24 hours a day? That’s crazy man! I never even would consider that. So how do you power your blasters and buffers if you don’t use batteries?

Don't be silly! Of course, I don't leave my rigs on 24/7. I turn them on when I'm using them and off when I'm not. But if I'm using one of them intermittently, I'll usually leave it on until I'm done. Same with at practices or gigs. An example of where I almost never turn off an electronic item is my laptop. Sure, I have it set to go into sleep mode after a set time and to concurrently darken the screen but I rarely turn it completely off except when doing updates. That I learned from my former (I'm retired now) employer's (USEPA) computer department.

I’ve actually been pretty torn lately over whether I prefer a power amp on the pedal board or in the rack. For my upstairs rig it’s convenient to have the pedal, but for my main rig I actually like keeping my pedal board less cluttered and as simple as possible. With something like the 200L you get a 2U or 3U x 9” rack with a Furman in there for your power needs and it is really light and portable. Just as easy if not easier to grab than a big pedal board.
With the Carvin, Lexicon and Furman in the rack it’s only like 10lbs. Then the pedals
Are just Boost, EF , OD & Preamp pretty simple and easy :-?
When using the FYD, just give it its own 2U x 12” rack and you can move it around and wire up easily as well.

Once again, great minds think alike.

Nice! What's above the Carvin, Bill?
