Good evening guys!

I just recently picked up a 98' MIM strat that I'm looking to upgrade the bridge. As far as I can tell it has 52mm spacing and is the 6 pivot screw model. I couldn't figure out how to attach a picture so here's a link to an Imgur post. Sorry if this is a redundant thread, but I used the search feature and queried +brass + stratocaster +bridge to no avail.

Herein lies my two questions:
1) Did I measure the spacing correctly (I'm being incredibly picky about this as the bridge measurements I've seen are all different and unique to themselves) and
2) Does anyone know of any brass bridges that fit this measurement? I've seen that I can replace the saddles with brass saddles, but I'm looking for a solid machined brass bridge. I'm not too concerned with the sustain block, really just looking for a 100% brass bridge.

I've poked around and the best contender seems to be this Charvel tremolo bridge. The spacing is 2 inches E to E so I don't believe that this would translate into my strat (unless it does?)

Hi, ap0p. I don't know of a manufacturer that makes an all-brass Strat bridge. However, I can't recommend the Babicz Full Contact Bridge highly enough. IMHO it is the single best $100 mod one can do to a Fender-type guitar or bass. It will literally double the acoustic (unplugged) volume of the guitar and add more sustain than any brass Strat-like bridge. I use Babicz Full Contact saddles or full bridges on my personal guitars and on all my builds. Check out their website. They also have the different measurements for both the narrow and wide spaced Strat bridges. (They make both sizes). And they recently came out with brass replacement cams for the individual saddles, if you just gotta have some brass!

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll be sure to check it out!

This might be useful to target your measurements...

https://www.callahamguitars.com/tech_co ... _strat.htm

It's usually either 2-1/16" or 2-7/32" E-E spacing...

It is okay to enlarge the spacing if the neck width can handle it. Usually cut a new nut to boot.

If you are going brass and are not converting to a hardtail your choices are limited to someone that will Mill it for you...

Check out KGC or poke around with forum members ...someone will make what you need...

It looks like KGC makes one. Pricey, and chrome plated, but the plate is brass (as well as saddles):

- KGC Solid-Milled Brass Bridge Plate - Deep Chrome-Plated - features perfect return underside bevel for perfect return to zero point - the most mass of any bridge plate on the market!

Or unplated, under "Build Your Own":
