I'm building a few new templates, and I think I'm moving more toward funky shapes and textures....getting heavily influenced by this guy - I think his stuff is great:

I find it hard to get the right balance of 'unique' and 'funky' but still have it be - to my eye - 'cool'....I think Malinoski nails it.

Anyone else dig these funkier shapes? Any other builders fit that bill?

Check out Rick Toone. His designs are pretty groundbreaking. Particularly look at his headless guitar tuning system. It's a piece of art in and of itself. I can't wait for him so start selling them so I can incorporate it into something!

Those are incredible. Can't imagine even conceiving of anything like those, let alone realizing them....

Love the creativity.

I'd want to hold an exotic instrument in my hands before I plunked down money. For me a guitar has to have balance. I don't like yanking the neck about to get the instrument in playing position.

Yeah...

I agree - that's what I like about about malioski's. They look 'traditional' enough to give you the typical balance and feel, but they also look rad....

thoughts on this effort?





Not sure about the bottom bout and horn...might be tough to play sitting down...
