Spalted maple top over chamber walnut. Maple neck.

Tru oil finish.

Very happy with it. Only big mistake I think is, 22-24 fret access is tough - would redesign lower horn cutout or just make it 21 frets next time. Also, would probably take a little more wood out of the neck, on the angle from the fretboard edge to center line, if yo know what I mean. I think as is, many players will like it, but I prefer a little more triangular neck.

Any way, it sounds killer, and I 'm really happy with it...

Nice job! What's the inlay material in the headstock?

That's just a decal buried in nitro.

But you guys are inspiring me....next one I think I'll try an inlay....

I agree - I think it looks great! I like the triple dot markers at 12 & 24 frets, and the logo on the headstock is very cool!

Really nice job. Very graceful body shape. I see you have some excess fretboard behind the nut. Hows the string-over angle to the tuners? Great looking bass!

It's a little less than perfect - hence the string tree, and the A string has to be wound low. Next time I think I will angle the headstock.

Thanks for the kind words.
