This is a guitar I completed a few months back that while not really Jerry inspired it takes a few cues Bobby’s 2681 such as the German carve. It’s solid Limba (Korina for you Gibson fans) with mahogany in the neck laminate. This ones loaded with SD Antiquity’s. I was going for light and this one came in at about 6lb 10oz. I had no real appreciation for how heavy my Wolf was until I finished this one. It’s basically the same dimensions and scale as an SG so I can adapt it for an early Garcia or Bobby guitar. I’ll likely make a handful in the fall with both Korina and Mahogany bodies as well as some of the previous design in Wenge, and lacewood if anyone’s interested.

So this is my second version I just completed. It's a much better setup than the last. I have several unrouted bodies so I can try some other configurations like a middle single coil, but I'm really happy with this one as is. The weight of my Wolf didn't bother me until I made my own design based on Tiger that came in under 10lbs. That seemed light as a feather until I finished this one which is the lightest guitar I own at 6lb 14 oz.

24 5/8” Scale
24 Frets
Body: Solid Korina (Limba) German carve with b/w/cream binding.
Neck: 5 Piece laminate Korina / Mahogany
Fingerboard:: Rosewood with cream binding, abalone fret markers and side dots.
Headstock: Walnut top. Walnut/Korina laminated back.

Hardware
Tuning Machines: Grover Deluxe Nickel
Bridge: Kluson Tune-o-matic.
Tailpiece: Kluson

Pickups/Electronics:
Neck Pickup: Dimarzio DP103 36th Anniversary PAF
Bridge Pickup: Dimarzio DP223 36th Anniversary PAF

500k CTS Volume
2 CTS 500K Tone Pots w/.22 Capacitors
Switchcraft 3 way pickup selector (Neck, Combined, Bridge)
3 way mini DPDT switches Series/Split/Parralel for each pickup.
Mini switch Master Series/Parralell
Mini switch Sets pickups out of phase.

Weight: 6lbs 14.3 oz!!!

Hey guys...I am the proud owner of the Good potential Bobby guitar in this post. The guitar is amazing. It plays amazing, looks amazing and sounds amazing. The neck is extremely stable and is such a joy to play. It is under 7 lbs and is the most comfortable guitar to gig with. This is a high quality build with pro level craftsmanship. The fretwork was perfect and polished to perfection. No dead spots or buzzing. I took delivery of it right around St Pats day, and I have not put it down since. If you are looking for a custom Bobby or Jerry style guitar contact Anthony Coscia...Supper nice and reasonable guy. After playing this one for a little over 3 months i am getting another one from him as a back up,and i will start to sell off most of my other guitars. He also makes some bad ass Hard Trucker replica cabs ( i got a 2x10 and 1x12 from him)I am an accomplished bobby player, ( 71-78 style) I play in the NYC based Dead Tribute band " The Dog Star". In the 90's I was in the NYC band Bears Choice. I also had the good fortune of playing many gigs with Jeff Mattson and the Zen Tricksters mid 90's. Jeff was my guitar teacher that taught me all the good bobby stuff. Yes he's a Jerry, but he knows all the Bob stuff also. I am going to do a you tube review as soon as i have some time. Check this builder out he is the real deal.

Thank's Brendan. thrilled that you're happy with it. I wanted to post the clips you sent me. Not just because it's one of my guitars but It's not often you get to hear Bobby's parts isolated. You do a really impressive job. Not to many people have an appreciation for how unique his style of playing is.

I've been working with Anthony on a little side project and I'd
also like to agree that he's a top notch guy and a joy to work with.

Nice to see one of his beautiful guitars end up in the hands of a very talented player.

It's awesome to see these traditions moving forward.

Some clips of this guitar in action. The audio of Terrapin was captured during our set up. The club had bands playing outside all day, and we were the headline playing at night inside. The club failed to tell us that they only had 1 PA system and we would have to wait till it was taken down out side and set up inside. So we decided to do Terrapin with out the PA system.
