Hey guys,

I'm trying to find a good alternative to hard trucker cabs. They're super pricey. Anyone have any particular suggestions for a 2 12" speaker cab maker?

I've bought 3 cabs from Tracy Lowe - all are superb. Kept the pair of 1X12s (easier to transport) and sold the 2X12 to a guitarist who loves it.

TRM Cabinets does great work and was super to deal with. http://www.trmguitarcabs.com/ Scroll down the page and you will see some options.

He will sell you a finished cab with wiring that just needs speakers and includes the aluminum clips or if budget is an issue you can get an unfinished cab to finish up yourself. That is what I did and it probably saved $150 even after I bought the aluminum clips, magnets, rubber feet and handles on Ebay.

I should add, I also own a TRM 2X10 HT-style cab. Love that one, too.

Here is one of my SSP 1X12s, followed by my TRM 2X10.

I'm thinking about downsizing from a 2x12 to a 1x12, so I might give TRM a try.
