I ordered one of these, really looking for a DP197 to have Freddy install in the bridge, I know these are hard to come by these days...if you all know anyone selling one of those PU's, please let me know. Thanks!

Curious if anyone here has received one they’ve ordered….and any feedback or video demos? I ordered one over a year ago and looks like I’m still a ways out, 73 in the overall order queue. Thanks
Matt

I just googled the guitar. They look pretty sweet for $799. But I was somewhat surprised at the up-charges:

- rewire with cloth, good caps, pots, and switches = $200
- brass nut = $125
- DiMarzio PUs = $395
- Schaller M6 tuners = $195-$215

Up-charges combined are more than the guitar itself!

You could do all that stuff yourself for a fraction of the cost. Especially if you get better but cheaper pickups.

Got mine. Very impressed by the build quality and fit & finish. Lots of switches and knobs to get used to. I have the stock electronics, but for fun I put a couple flying fingers pickup covers on I've had sitting around forever.

I must say, the guitar is cosmetically beautiful. When you get a chance tell us more on how it plays and sounds.

Agreed. For this reason, I like that Phred kept the basic price low for those of us who are on-board with doing these sorts of upgrades ourselves.

Looks pretty sweet for well under $1K! And, for another $31 you could add this:
