The Furman PQ-3 is a parametric EQ that Bobby used, however, its reported that he mainly used it on nights where the Dead played both Acoustic and Electric. He plugged is Ovation into it. My thought is, are these units worth looking into? My acoustic amp is a modded Fender Acoustasonic. Could I utilize the Furman as a "pre amp" EQ in a way? Running my acoustic into the Furman, then into the Fender? Im just kicking around some ideas...

Yes. It would be very useful. I learned a lot about EQ using one of these. I had one as the preamp in my bass rig for a while in the 80s. It was either that or an Alembic F2b. In hindsight, the Alembic would have been the better choice, but I really loved the huge variation in tone the PG-3 provided. Awesome unit!
