JERRY ON A HELIX?

Hey guys,

I just got a Line 6 Helix and I'm trying to dial in some Jerry with a serious lack of success. Has anyone dialed in anything close on the Helix? I'd love to know what you did to get there. The learning curve on this thing has me at a huge disadvantage.

Also, any resources for the Helix that you think might guide me in my quest would be great.
Thanks!

Try using the search function as it's been discussed here before but don't recall when and where LOL!

But I'll give my opinion:
- Helix is a great tool
- Using your own IR's or buying some will get you closer to the sounds you seek. I liked redwirez D120F with MD421 3" from coil
- Helix reverbs suck which makes it bad for JG type stuff unless you're recording and using another reverb :)

I did a search before posting and came up with nothing...

Yea if you search for something, you’ll find the threads that used to exist but when you click on them, they’re gone and can’t open them up. Tried searching for ‘Jerry rig sound clips’ and can’t pull the thread up anymore.

JBL cab IR's are the biggest thing I've found to make a difference.

These are all good

https://livereadysound.com/product/d130 ... ar-ir-set/

https://www.drbonkerssoundlab.com/produ ... ollection/

Ownhammer has a D-120 set

redwirez has several
Roland JC-120 • Roland 12s • Cabinet IR Library:

Impulse responses of a Roland Jazz Chorus (JC-120) with Roland 12" speakers. Clean, clean, clean. Kinda like a more scooped JBL D120. Did we mention they do the clean thing really nicely.

Fender Twin • JBL D120Fs • Cabinet IR Library:

Impulse responses of a '67 Fender Twin Reverb cabinet loaded with vintage JBL D120Fs. The D120s have more low-end than the C12Ns and a peak around 3700Hz, for distinctly edgier upper-mids.

Marshall 1960 4x12 • JBL K120s • Cabinet IR Library:

Impulse responses of a Marshall 1960 cabinet loaded with JBL K120s. This one was a favor for a friend, but we thought other people might like it too.

Fender Dual Showman • JBL D130s • Cabinet IR Library:

Impulse responses of a Fender Dual Showman cabinet loaded with vintage JBL D130s.

Ampeg B15 • JBL D140 • Cabinet IR Library:

Impulse responses of an Ampeg B15 "Fliptop" with a JBL D140 speaker. Channel the Motown sound.

AWESOME! So, there's only two links though. How do I find the ones listed toward the bottom? Specifically the Fender Dual Showman w/ JBL D130s.
Thanks! This is great!
