It was never lost. It was owned by Tiff Garcia for years and there is a picture on his FB page.

Apparently Tiff hasn't had it... (Tiff passed away?) Rick was contacted by someone else and he had to go up to Marin and get it ... Great read on his latest FB posts about it's re-discovery and his excitement and intrigue.

According to Rick Turner’s FB page, some guy named Walt Dickson now owns it. Tiff may have sold it or he inherited it. It looks like Rick’s gonna make some replicas at some point.

I Googled Walt Dickson from Marin County and he played guitar in a band called the Sky Blue Band. Not much info on either him or the band. There is a You Tube video of him singing and playing.

The plot thickens...

Rick just answered the "How Walt Dickson came to possess Peanut" question...

He traded Rock Scully a Japanese 12 string acoustic for it when it was broken in two. I'll be telling the whole story in The Fretboard Journal.

Tiff only had it briefly in the 70's...

I gave Rick Turner the information on the whereabouts of Peanut in 2010 straight from Dan Healy who had it in his studio.

There are 2 Turner Peanuts, the first one made was the one Jerry is known for using.

All derivatives of Turners original.

Larry Robinson made this one per Frank Fuller.

Cool. I just picked up my first copy of Fretboard Journal at Barnes & Noble. Expensive- but very interesting if you're into guitar building or luthier stuff.
