Saw a post on FB and somebody credited Garcia and Irwin for creating it. But that doesn't fit with the timeline... It's shows up on the TB500 #12 professionally done on a Travis Bean pickguard. I know Garcia was having a hard time taming the Mutron in the fall of 76' and the need for it seems to be conceptualized by him. But who actually created it and installed it on that Bean? Was it Healy? Parish? Alembic? Mark McElwee at Travis Bean...

Irwin was more a structural wiz with the builds. Not really known for his electronics ....

Could the origins be traced to Gibson's use of a stereo cable on some models?

Did you know the Rick Turner Peanut Gibson neck guitar Jerry played originally had the dual jacks? Turner stated that he used an output for each pickup but that it was rewired for Jerry's use.
