Has anyone tried this one yet? Given the name, I'm curious if it is close to a vintage JBL

I’d hit up Chris Siegmund. He’s super nice and very knowledgeable. Although, if the idea is to make a JBL-esque speaker, at $350+ they’re not making it a no-brainer to go new over vintage.

Thanks, I shot Chris an email asking what the speaker was intended to do and how it compared to the Purple Haze, and his response was:

"With an increase in magnet weight and strength, the easier moving cloth surround allows the speaker to get to maximum efficiency and power handling. This also adds brightness and definition.

And although the cone is the standard thicker version, the tone is brighter and more articulate than the thinner cone used in the Purple Haze."

I’m pretty intrested in these speakers also. I really wish there was more info available. It’s a big investment but a worth while one of the tone is killer. Don’t know how they would compare to my e-120’s

Just got mine set up in my Deluxe and it sounds killer to me. Very articulate and bright without sounding harsh, in my opinion. Curious to hear what other people have to say about it.

Hey Sunshine73 ,
How efficient (loud) is it, compared to some better-known speakers?
