hello all. was watching the making of built to last recently, mostly because I could listen to Jerry just noodle and riff for hours and I also love picking up ideas and what not from watching Jerry in a setting such as this. any way when Garcia first appears he is just riffing, I believe warming up for the next take on Brents "Just a Little Light" and to my ear it sounds like Jerry is using the envelope filter with a little bit of dirt added to it. I know he would combine the octave and envelope at times (feel like a stranger) but I wasn't sure if I ever recognized the envelope and dirt together in anything else. I'm sure somebody can tell me otherwise, just curious if I'm missing something that has been plainly obvious and I've just never noticed it. thanks
