I've been trying to get a decent recording of the Earth Drive and Solar Flare in action, I took my nice work camera out to a benefit for a local high school music department we played last Saturday. It came out ok, a little cavernous in the auditorium and we were at the mercy of high school kids running sound. Here's Deal - I use the Earth Drive through most of the tune and kick in the Solar Flare at the end.

Unfortunately not in a band right now but here is my current rig.
74’ Maestro Twin - Phiga Eagle Super II’s - JBL d120f orange frames.
I have a 2x12 cab with Beyma Liberty speakers but I enjoy the D120s when I’m playing on my own. This is being played as a twin combo, no speaker cab. Just noodling around, first 40sec finger picking.

Amp Volume on 4, guitar volume on 3 as the fam is sleepIng.

The Solar Flare has been a game changer for sure. My poor T-Rex Dr Swamp is getting neglected.

I really haven't played much Dead nor played with a Jerry-ish guitar rig since the late '80s and a brief stint with the Schwag around 2001 (my disclaimer for feeling pretty rusty - ha). But once a year (or less) I get to play a Jerry B-day show here in St. Louis with some really fine players. I think I was driving the Mac a little too hot on this one, it was 2nd song of the show and I was still dialing things in.

Adamas pick
Telecaster with Dimarzio Dual Sound in middle position split to single coil
Stratoblaster buffer (switching back to Waldo buffer soon, preferred)
Earth Drive
Solar Flare distortion
Phase 100
analog delay
SMS Classic (gain 6, bright ON, treble 10, mid 6, bass OFF, reverb?)
McIntosh MC250 set in stereo (dual mono)
Soundscaper 2-12" cab with JBL D120F each individually wired to each Mc250 channel
Sennheiser 421

Solar Flare was kicked on for some soloing, but mostly it's just the rig turned up, perhaps too much, a bit too much Mac grunge at at times.

Brad, sounds awesome! First, and most important, your playing is killer! Perfectly in the groove, not too rushed, and rockin'! Certainly not rusty. Your tone is equally badass - I love Telecasters. Well done! The singer is really good too!

Brad, you're nailing it!

Just got my SMS CTP (JG mod) in mail from you last week. Still dialing it in but very pleased with the sound, especially for the size and weight! Will try to post a clip soon.

Currently, have a build in with Leo from Scarlet Fire Guitars and in the queue for a Maestro Twin from waldo - can't wait! Clips people have posted sound killer!

Here's a clip using:
- quilter micropro mach 2 head (Garrett from Jerry's Middle Finger uses one and he's killing it with his tone! ) Me - not so much but progress over perfection ;-)
- Sarno's Earth Drive
- 2x12 JBL E120's
- 70 reissue Fender Strat (super 2 pups middle pup split)
