Well, what do you know?

Found a copy of Tolstoy's War and Peace in the downstairs library.

Complete and Unabridged In One Volume
A Modern Library Giant (G1) 1146 pages $1.45

The book belonged to my mother, and I inherited her entire Modern Library collection.
Every page is evenly yellowed and it has that musty old book smell.
I'd guess that it has not even been opened in over 20 years, if that.
Probably printed in the late 1930's.

Part I

'WELL, prince, Genoa and Lucca are now no more than private estates of the Bonaparte family. No, I warn you, that if you do not tell me we are at war, if you again allow yourself to...'
