I've been working with my university library where I work (Radford University) on this project with the Appalachian Archive. We interviewed several local/regional banjo players about their history with the music and their approach to playing and such. Our first one was Radford local, Butch Robbins who was a member of Bill Monroe's band for several years as well as the New Grass Revival. I helped a bit with the post production on this one but did camera work on our interview with Sammy Shelor from the Lonesome River Band and Jens Kruger of the Kruger Brothers. Butch is the real deal, here's 5 minutes of what was shot, there will be eventually 5hrs of stories, history, and banjo playing.

Very nice production. I played banjo off and on for 20 years. I had a few hot licks here and there and a couple nice arrangements I played, but I never could get to the point where the music would just flow. I made the switch to electric guitar about a year and a half ago and haven't looked back.
