Looking for some templates to search for some gd content in some more fertile territory. As if I don't have enough stuff already!

Just started recently so I'm a bit green w/this client but it seems to work well.

Any others?

Bill I have been looking for a BT that satifies my needs and haven't yet. I used UTorrent (pirate bay) and DL'd 3 years worth of boards but some of them were not very good quality and then my laptop got a bug. The 15 year old at the store said it was from torrents and that I didn't have good protection. I have good protection now but have not jumped in again yet...I'm jonesing for some 72-74 boards. I hope to find a BT where I can preview/pick and choose shows instead of taking the whole 6 months or a years worth. Looking forward to what is recommended.

Hey nm - There are others on this board who are much more knowledgeable about these things than me but bugs are always a risk when you bt. I started with Bit Torrent as my client a while back and was downloading from etree but either I didn't really know what I was doing (likely!) or the program was a bit difficult to digest cause the thing just ate up both my bandwidth and my memory and it was almost impossible to do anything on my pc. I'm sure I just didn't tweak it properly but I've found vuze (so far anyway) to be much more user friendly - except for the issue I pose in this thread. Right now I search about 6 sites that vuze allows as "popular" among it's users and of about 285 gd hits, about 2/3's are actually gd, a mix of audio and video.
You can either create or use other peoples search templates for other sites - thus this thread. I suppose if I can't mooch off of other folk's templates I'll have to look further into creating my own for some of the more gd friendly sites.

Really? I have had nothing but good luck using Vuze. I run it constantly. I got it in its prior name of Azureus. With Vuze, the thing you need to do is change to the old classic style interface and ignore the fancy flashy one that shows up as default.

The other thing is go to the torrent sharing web sites and find the torrents you want there, then download the small torrent tracker files and then open those with vuze. it works like a charm. I think using the BT app to search sites is a waste of time.

These sites will give you all the shows you'll want:

I also used to use it when it was Azureus & more or less liked it then. When it changed to Vuze I think it went downhill. Yes - you can switch to classic view and it's really the same thing. The biggest thing that I don't like about it is that it's Java based and so it's slow to launch - once it's up and running it's fine. But - I just like Utorrent better. It's coded natively for mac and PC (no Java!) and has all of the same features as Azureus.

Thanks for the input guys. I had a friend (after I saw myoung's endorsement of UT) also give the thumbs up for it. Maybe I'll give it a shot and compare. I'll switch vuze to classic and see if I can do the tracker download thingy.
