This is a favorite of mine. It's from April '67--Jerry and Phil on the radio, bringing in their records/recommendations and playing them with Tom Donahue (DJ). Lots of talking between songs and lots of good banter (and a cool commercial for an upcoming show at the Avalon). I guess part of the gig is that they're there to promote their album. The last two song selections are stuff from their "newest" album, The Grateful Dead, released only 2 months before this.
Their songs are good. They bring in some bizarro stuff, but overall a pretty cool "mix tape" as selected by Jerry, Phil (and Bob, because they play Maggie's Farm by Dylan at Bob's suggestion).
