Of course, it's not either/or with an OBEL. There are a couple of ways to wire them that allow you to use one cable bypassing the OBEL or two using it. One way requires an on/off minitoggle (my Scarlet Fire Wolf and heavily modded '99 USA Reverend Avenger employ that method), the other way doesn't (my Philtone Jerrycaster Tiger).
