I can't comment on any first set experiments. But by the start of the second set when my peaking leveled off, there was no mass hypnosis ... But wait - what if that's the very reason I don't remember it?

I can't argue the relative merits of 5/8 vs. 5/9 objectively. I can say only I liked the one better that I actually was in audience for.

That whole run is just amazing. One of my all time faves is 6/9/77 absolutely huge 2nd set.
