Sounds good. I would recommend sticking it on the shelf rather than on top of a PA speaker, just to rule out vibration as an issue. We may not be pumping out a lot through the PA, but still.
I'll be putting down a second rug so that the drums can move back maybe 6 feet, but I think placing your recording mics farther from the drums might also be good for the sake of balance.
My H2 recording was over-saturated last time, so I will back off the levels next time. I think you'll be surprised at how good a recording it makes.
Always good to have multiple sources, though.
