Also, though they didn't technically write the song or have it on an album, didn't the Dead play it a few times? :?:

I'll bet their version sounded pretty good.

hope this helps! or gives you a start.....im going on memory.....it used to be posted up here....but anyways....heres my attempt

E.............
Bombs away
E...................................F#m
Well, I guess I'm back in love again
A.................................E
Well, hey now, and around we go
E
This will bring me ruin
E.........................D...A ....Amaj7
Though I suppose it's pleasing
* i forget these chords names but we'll call them Emaj7 ( 007675) , Edim(005656), Dmaj7 (009897)

(Emaj7)..............................(Edmin)
I've changed the eyes I gaze in
Dmaj7....
Still, she's just another girl
Bsus......B............Bsus.....
And I need more than a trade in
B .................................E
Guess I'll have to change the world

Strike up the band
Well, I believe I have this dance
Hey, raise that glass again, my friend
Yes, of course, I'm charming
But she's so easy

Well, I've changed the tune I dance to
In this gay old social whirl
But if I get a chance to
I might just change the world

Bm
It's just the same old movie
A.......................E
Been playing here for years
(Playing here for years)
Bm
I could use a change of scenery
* need help on this part*
But when I get there I'm still here

Coming soon
We'll have another day in paradise
At a theatre near you
And they'll be showing it forever

So let them keep parading
Give 'em all batons to twirl
For me, the splendor's fading
Yeah, I'll have to change the world
Bm
And it's still the same old movie
A......................E
And I've seen it all before
Bm
Guess one more run through won't undo me
A.......................................E
Hell, I'll just watch the show some more
F#m
Hey, some more, yeah, some more
Sit back and watch it some more
Guess I'll just watch the show some more
Hey, some more, yeah, some more
But I'd like to know what for
Hey, don't you worry what for
Yeah, I'd like to know what for
Guess you must know what I'm talking about
****** back to the song**********
Bombs away (bombs away)
I guess I'm back in love again
(Love again)
Yeah, around and around we go

(Bombs away) bombs away
Guess I'm back in love again
(Love again) you got me
Round and round we go

Bombs away
Guess I'm back in love again
Round and around and around and around
It's love again (love again)

Yes, I guess I'm back in love again
Love again (love again)
Look out, I'm back in love again

Just checked Setlists.net. Apparently no GD versions of Bombs Away. I do agree, it probably would have been a nice GD tune.

On the other hand, one of the things that always impressed me about the GD was that with such a large song library there is nary a song (overtly) about love, save for Looks Like Rain. In contrast, name me a Beatles song that's NOT about love? (of course there are many, this is a bit of hyperbole, but you get the point.) As lyricists, Barlow, and especially Hunter, really contributed to the GD magic.

Help on the Way. Well at least it is for me….

Yup. Just rechecked the lyrics.

Maybe the two best love song lines ever sung.

Without love, day to day,
insanity is king

Without love in the dream
It will never come true

Love.

Sorry for not contributing to "Bombs Away."

that chord chart is pretty accurate but there are a few chords not listed. such as the F#m7> F#m6 in the jam after the "Hey, don't you worry 'bout what for" line. Also the bridge that begins with "It's just the same old movie" starts with a C with a flat 5:

E x
A x
D 10
G 9
B 7
E 8

followed by what the chart calls a Gsus4, but sounds more like a D#maj7 to my ear. Regardless it looks and sounds like Bob voiced it like so:

E x
A x
D 8
G 8
B 8
E 10
