I can get 2/3's of the way through the song, but my hand and wrist begin to cry their eyes out. I need the stamina to get through it.

Transpose it up 1/2 step like hunter plays it. Much easier than barre chords :)

SO it would go

C G F C G
Cherise was brushing her long hair gently down
C G F C G
It was the afternoon of carnival as she brushes it gently down
C G F C G
Rubin was strumming his painted mandolin
C G F
It was inlaid with a pretty face in jade
C G F
Played in the carnival parade

for me, it's when "the breeze would pause to listen in"...

Ive found that a few faux "built to last" riffs of:

Cm-B-Fm, B-Fm-E, Cm-B-Fm-B-Fm-E

make a nice suprise kinda intro for Reuben & Cherise

I think I actually like the way 1/2 up version sounds better

Man I just saw Yonder last Thur. and they played the best version I herd of this song.

It was amazing, I never thought I would see them play this song and they did, and it was sweet.
