Awful partial to the one in '87 when they played with Dylan in Oakland. Jerry screams the lyrics "Throw me in the jailhouse" so loud, it shook my fillings. I was close up and it is available as DVD, not sure which one, but check it out.

One of my all time favorite Dead tunes.

My fave is NYE '87. But love the laid back reggeaesque 5-7-77 or is that 5-9? Shit, too many versions to mention. The '71 version absolutely Rock Balls ! 5-28-77 has a great one but it has an annoying drop out on the master.

Dicks Picks 18 2-3-78 is by far my fav. But there are some good early 70's ones that are smokin as well.

Love Jerry's work on the legendary 8-27-72 Field Trip show. Crazy lick going into his first solo, which also happens to be pretty outstanding.

Then again, everything from that day is dripping with inspiration.

"RAN INTO A RAIN STORM, DUCKED BACK INTO A BAR DOOR"

Great song, in my ever changing top 5, this song was the first one that really blew me away, my faves have already been stated, the 11-11-73 show is amazing just a real burner, and the 5-7-77, jerry absolutely rips it at this near midpoint of their career, phenomenal, tons more out their, its my favorite opener along with jackstraw

Just listened to the one on "Hundred Year Hall". Great version, great release. I always thought the one on "Skull&Roses" was exceptional as well.
