Hey all,
Looking for some fresh approaches to jerry’s runs during the Come on children chord changes. I’ve been mostly been playing off of the chord shapes, starting in A, hitting some of the diminished notes for the third chord change, Dm notes after that, then the A shape, D, E etc. How do you approach it? Anyone stay on a certain mode of A the whole time?

That's how I do it.

To add a little more structure...I play two note stops over the chromatic walk-down from f#-f-e-eb over the weir chords that then lead up to the big D chord to E chord lead end.

But like you say...I start out in A major and then organically add in some sharp and flat notes as needed throughout the weir odd changes...then the walkdwon starting on f#...then the big run through the D to E

A good exercise is to write out the weir changes and all the notes in each change and then see how you can connect them all together in various patterns at diff places on the neck (see what works)
