I think it's just F-F#-G during those three words of the chorus, at least that's how we play it?

Probably not be what you're asking about, but the F-D-G progression comes during the bridge.

F............D...........G........E.............Am.......Bb.....F....F# G

I've always played it F F# G ( over the three words).

using the D doesn't sound bad though when you use an inversion and put the F# in the bass (piano though)--in fact, maybe that is what they play there?? Not sure now.

Question I've always had with that one is whether those passing (ie C to Bb to F, Eb to D), chords are used during the chorus or not? We decided not to emphasize them in the chorus like we do in the verse.

We do it that same exact way.

I always played it up top around the 3rd position, never thought he would be playing it around the 8th. Learned something today!

How do you guys play the chorus? We're talking about doing the same thing by hanging in F instead of going to the Eb.

Those passing chords Bb and Eb are clearly being used by Jerry in that video for the chorus.

It's a D7 on the 10th fret, Jerry plays the high side with the inverted shape and drops the Root D on the Low E. Bobby hits the root with the full barre chord.


Might as Well First set closer about 55 minutes in.
