Hey all,
Just wanted to share some photos and info on my new Wolf that I've had for 2 weeks now. It was built from scratch 100% by hand by Augustwest1, a member here many of you may already know. It's the real deal...the pictures speak for themselves but it's also a pleasure to play and nails the tone most of us are all looking for better than any other guitar I've owned. (and I've had a bunch) It's solid as a rock and well...just a damn good reincarnation of the Wolf in every aspect of its construction. Loaded with Super 2's in the middle and bridge, SDS in the neck, Waldo buffer and OBEL. If you dig the Wolf and have always wanted one like myself, I'd recommend contacting the man!

Ok, so my attempt to embed the pics using the img function appears to have been a failure for reasons I can't figure out. So hopefully these links will get you there. If someone could let me know, I'd appreciate it. Also if anyone could shed some light on what the hell I may have done wrong, that would be great too. I put the URL in between the img brackets and as you can see...no images. It's been a while since I've done this but I thought that was correct. Anyway...hopefully one way or another you can see the guitar! :? :? :?

Wonderful! That's some nasty quilted maple.

Photo tutorial, but without photos after the Photobucket debacle:

Thanks guys...it's definitely a keeper. I'm really enjoying it. I've "Jerrified" strats, Schecters, a Les Paul, a phred Tiger and probably some others I'm forgetting over the years and they all get the job done...some better that others...but none of them do it like this one. There's really something to be said for the woods, neck though construction and of course the mojo factor of an axe that not only sounds just like the one the man played, but looks just like it too!
And just for the record...(and my own curiosity) I just checked the tutorial on posting images that one of you were nice enough to link and I did exactly what was described there. But it didn't work. Oh well, the links get the job done, just not quite as convenient.

Because you linked to the page the image was on, rather than the image itself.

Thank you...but I'm still not sure how to link the image itself. I selected "copy URL" from the image on Flickr and pasted that between the img tags. So if you don't mind clarifying a little further Jeff, what exactly did you do to link just the image and not the page? Because obviously whatever it was...it worked. I'd love to know for future reference. Thanks man

The link that you insert between the two [IMG] bookends has to be a photo or an image- it has to end with something like .jpg, which is "computerspeak" for "I'm a picture".

The links you tried were like:

https://flic.kr/p/XAZDiW

which had no extension at the end identifying it as an image. It takes you to a web page that happens to have a photo in it.

The link to the successful [IMG] photo in the previous post was:

https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4333/3573 ... 1ba3_b.jpg

Thank you for the explanation. I guess where the confusion occurred was...when I went to grab the links to the images from my Flickr account on my phone, there's an option to copy URL, which I now know is for the page and not the image. But I just looked again, I don't see anyplace that gives me this image link that you just posted- https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4333/3573 ... 1ba3_b.jpg
Maybe if I accessed on a PC instead of the phone app it would be more clear and I could just copy/paste the image link. I'll have to check. But the phone app shows it nowhere. Anyway...thanks again. I've turned my Wolf post into another dreaded image posting tutorial! :)

No problem. It's still a Dang Peachy Wolf!

This one is a little trickier than most. Most photos one would want to grab, you would just right click (this in on PC) and there would be a choice for "view image location" or "copy image location" and that would give you the actual .jpg or .gif address. For your flickr images you need to right click and go to "view page info" or "Inspect Element" and scroll through the 'more info than you need' until you find the path with the .jpg.

I see...it makes sense now. Next time I'll just do it from a PC and it should be no problem. Thanks again for the detailed explanation. Getting back to where this thread started...I've really been bonding with the guitar and I love it. Last night, I was playing some non dead bluesy Hendrix/SRV kind of stuff on the neck pickup and I have to say it did it quite well. Had a good strat like sound going. It made me contemplate taking the SDS out of the neck spot and swapping in the voodoo 69 neck pickup out of one of my strats just to see what it sounds like. Maybe a good winter time project. For now I think I'll just keep on playin on!
