Hi all,

Anyone know the BOBBY riff that goes over this JERRY riff:
Code: Select all
Still I (feel like a stranger) feel like a stranger

   A
E-----------------------------------------------------------
B-----------------------------------------------------------
G-----------------------------------------------------------
D--5-7--5-7--5-7--5-7--5-7--5-4-----------------------------
A-------------------------------7---------------------------
E---------------------------------5----5-3-5----------------

E
You know it’s gonna get stranger
                          D
So let’s get on with this show
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqXBJSpV5T8

the lick comes up @ 6:02 to 6:17 in the video ... its only 15 seconds long ... at the beginning you can't see Bobby's hands but it then comes into the frame and I can see he's doing what looks to be 5ths on the middle strings around the 7th fret into this really cool ....booooiiinnngggg.

Any ideas :?

to my ear, that "Boing" at the end is an A7th... the note being on the second string, 8th fret, with Bobby's auto-wha pedal enguaged (which sounds kinda like a Sitar to me in this case).
The audio/video is out of sync on my box... I'll try to take a look at it on DVD later. 'Looks like a hammer on version of what Jerry is playing, with thumb covering the bass notes.

Thanks Pete! I'm close on the Hammer-ons but still not quite there yet. If there's any more info on the fingerings I'd be psyched. As to the Auto-way sound .... I'm using the Mutron in "Down" (reverse) mode but I'm still experimenting with the Hi/Lo and LP/BP/HP settings
