Hey, I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on an HT cabinet or knockoff for what will become a Twin Reverb head (yanking the amp chassis out of the combo cabinet and turning it into a head only). If anyone has either an HT JG1 or Soundscraper, please either PM me or post after this. Just wondering about weights when loaded and whether they are wicked heavy. I'm going to put the Jensen C-12K in to start, then probably get Celestion V30 or a Weber. Do you find the weight of the loaded cabinet unwieldy?

Thanks

One speaker in a cab will not be too heavy.

I was just looking at Tim's site and noticed that he's now offering HT style cabs made from Baltic birch. 1x12 and 2x12. Scroll about halfway down:

Are you thinking 1x12 or 2x12? If its just a 1x12, you'll be fine with any speaker. If you are going to use 2, and they aren't JBLs, it will still be manageable.
If you ever decide to put JBLs in a 2x12, it's going to be heavy, especially if you put in "E"s (E"s are a lot heavier than the "D" or "K").
A 2x12 HT type cab with 2 "E"s in there is going to weigh close to 80 pounds.

I've been playing with one "K" inside a 1x12, and I'm happy as a clam.
