Hey guys...I built a great 2x12 cabinet with a nice lid/cover. I used industrial stregth velcro, buyt it just isnt quite strong enough to hold the cover on. I think magnets are the way to go...have you had experience using rare earth magnets and where can I find the kind that can be screwed into the wood? Again, I dont want to have to do any gluing, I want the kind with the counter sunk cups, but I'm having a challenge finding exactly what I'm looking for...Thanks in advance

I just used rare earth disc magnets glued into the wood. They've last for quite a while with no problems.

Me too... just drilled a hole in the wood and used epoxy to put them in. Works fine... I haven't seen any specially shaped ones like you are mentioning... I imagine they'd be a lot more expensive.

Cheap on the 'bay. You want the 9mm neo mags. My TRM cab, as an example, uses 9x3 mms but you could also go 9x5. E.g., 50 for $15.99:
