1x12" Cab size question

I have a speaker cab about the size of a deluxe reverb. I would like to put an E-120 in it. I was wondering if the size of that cabinet would effect the tone in a bad way, or should I use a smaller cube style cab? Thanks Paul

The E120 sounds great in any Fender style open/semi open back cab I have tried. I say if it fits roll with it.

TJ, Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll throw it in there. If it sounds good, it will save me the trouble of building another cabinet. I think the bigger cabinet will warm up the tone of the e-120.

PaulJay, There is a thread on Jerrytone that starts with 2x12 vs 1x12 but has some of the posts deal with size of the cab that might be helpful. My ears have not been able to tell the difference between a plywood HT style and a plywood Fender style when used with the same speaker. I put an K120 in a fender style pine cab and the tone was warmer than when it lived in the HT box. I think the ply cabs have a slightly sharper tone to them.
