Bought the pedal, not the kit, about a week ago. Even with the knob all the way down it makes a funny noise when I engage it. Have never had this with other pedals. At the 1:01 mark when he engages the pedal that is exact sound my makes, kind of squishy echo sound. Any thoughts? Just does't seem right to me. Thanks

PM sent with more specific info. Bottom line is I'm now using one of these built-like-a-tank SB-based pedals. Not cheap, but as we know (especially those of us not handy with building our own electronics!), you get what you pay for.

Jon gave me a couple of other options. MXR Micro Amp which I am going to give a try. Also the Pegasus which looks great, but if I could find something a little cheaper... if not, will likely get it. So what are others using as a blaster? Wanting something in pedal for easier battery change and easier access to changing the setting.

I am happy with the MXR micro amp. It seems to do the same thing as the ggg blaster pedal.

Have had the MXR a couple weeks now. I'm pretty happy with it, think I like it a bit more than the GGG blaster. Thanks again for the info @Jon S. Thanks to @PaulJay and @paulinnc too.
