Hey now -- looking for a middle pickup for a chambered SSS strat build. Neck will be a Klein jazzy cat and the bridge will be a Lollar special. Target tone is that split Super 2 late 80s/spring 1990 Tiger tone. I know that Jerry's McIntosh and his JBL 120s were also equally important and I use a Two Rock with a lot of compression so I'm not making anything easier, but I'm wondering what middle pickup will at least help point me in the right direction. Will a SDS-1 be too imbalanced with the other two?

i have a fender custom shop 69 middle pickup in a strat signed by abigail ybarra (random, didn't even know it when i bought it), and it is awesome for jerry! david allen voodoo 69's are probably your best bet, i have a set of those in a chambered body and I love them!
