Thanks! Its a hoot. We're getting there :-) Still too many silly mistakes--but, we've got good energy, and our vocals are getting better with each rehearsal. Playing the Grateful Dead continues to reaffirm my deepest respect for how damn good the band was. I'm an 80's and 90's head, with my first show in '79, and Jerry was so innovative throughout his entire career. When you study his lines from Dark Star 1969, Dark Star 1972, Dark Star 74, Dark Star 1978 and Dark Star 1989 you really come to appreciate how melodic he was. I used to play classical trumpet, and one summer at music camp in 1984, my cello-playing roommate showed me various solos where Jerry's quoting from Brahms to Miles, but the point is, Jerry's solos really do it for me. From his guitar tone to his soloing (let's not forget his singing), Jerry made his own voice as a guitarist. Its an honor to try and cover him. :-)

Thanks. So the Tangled end is BYOC OD1 Clone + Series 2000 MXR Dist+
I use it at sparingly, but examples are Fire solos, NFA solo, Deal end, Tangled end, etc.

I'm ok with one music stand, but they should eventually disappear after awhile.
Meh, not really a big deal. Although I do LOVE having an iPad with everything on it - SO much more efficient.

Makes me happy to see a Dead tribute band working the metro Detroit area. Born and raised there and it would have been nice back in the day!
