hi everyone ~ just hoping someone can point me in the right direction - while in zambia a friend carved 2 drums for me - i took the wooden bases home but not the skins, so now i am looking for a person or place where i can get skins put on them - anyone out there know anyone who makes or skins drums in the nyc or northern new jersey area? thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

hey all,

my buddy psychedelio left his congos/bongos over at my apt this week, and im taking advantage of them and getting some recording done on the computer. But im having one problem: where do I mic the drums??? Ive tried at the bottom, top, and in between them all
(BTW, I only have two SM57s that im using to record them right now because the other mics are in use ) what do yall recommend? appreciate any advice on the subject...
