Little stranger, don't try to hide now
You look so young and you're afraid
There is no danger but from the devil
And he may want you but I'm in his way
You don't know how easy it is
You don't know how easy it is to love you

And come the moonrise, when the dew falls
Don't be the sun that fades away
Don't leave me darkness, she is no lover
She hides the day
You don't know how easy it is
You don't know how easy it is to love you

C G C G

You dont know how easy it is

C/D D Bm C D G

You dont know how easy it is to love you

Plus here is some chords that the guy at dark's tabs suggested, but I cant seem to make them work with the song..

Intro: D5 E5 | D5 E5 G5 | Bbmaj7(#11) | Fmaj9 | Fmaj9 |

D5 x133xx

E5 02xxx

G5 355xxx

Bbmaj7(#11) 112241

Fmaj9 1x2x1x -or- x8 10 9 88 -or- xx3553

Fmaj9 | D5 E5 | D5 E5 G5 | D5 E5 G/A | A/B x22220 |

D5 E5 | D5 E5 G5 |

Bbmaj7(#11) | Fmaj9 | G/A x00003 |

Play the C/D exactly as it should be:
C = C E G (1,3,5)
C/D = D E G (D as bass then 3,5)

Try this for the C/D:

E------
B------
G--0---
D--2---
A--5---
E------

Play it slowly and you will hear the second line to the intro:
-----Part 1------Part 2----
E--------------------------
B--------------------------
G------------------0-------
D----2-2----------2--------
A--5-------------5---------
E--------------------------

Listening to 1979-11-24 and the song lyrics are different:

Verse I
Good, good morning, so good to see you
You weren't just a dream of mine
Real as a raven, real as a blue bird
Real as the sun shining
Love to keep you through the day
Seems some how you made your way into my heart.

Verse II
Warming woman, I've been so cold
But you come on like a flame
Couldn't see it in myself but all the same

Verse III
Be my evening, stand beside me
When the sunlight fades away
Don't leave darkness she is no lover she hides the day

yes, Brent does some lyrical rearranging also the band changed how the song was played musically as well...listen to the '79 then play a 1990... 8)

I prefer 79. It sounds more like a love song.
Seems it got "over processed" over the years.
