Hey all, i just tabbed this out, didn't see any other tabs on the web, so i figured i'ld archive it here. don't know how to properly tab, or where this should go, but here it is.

i indicate a full bar by whatever is inbetween //, so /G/ is one bar of G. then a period means half a bar, so /G.Am/ means one bar, half bar of g, half bar of Am.

Key is G there is a walkdown in the verse part during the 5th and 6th bars that i hear as DCBmAm

Verse:
Em/Em/G/C/
D.C/Bm.Am/G/G

Bridge
D#/F/Bb/C
D#/F/Bb/D/D

The lick at the end of the verse is almost a reverse g run, i think, mess around with ded a bflat aba g or something like that.

lyrics:

sweet melinda won't you come to your window tonight
i want to hold you tight tonight
sweet melinda won't you come to your window tonight
everything will be all right tonight

i've been wandering oh so long
i lost my way in a raging storm
light a candle in your window tonight
light a candle let me see the light

sweet melinda won't you come to your window tonight
while the moon is shining bright tonight
sweet melinda won't you come to your window tonight
i wanna hold you tight tonight

i've been waiting oh so long
i lost my way in a raging storm
light a candle in your window tonight
hold it high so i can see the light

sweet melinda won't you come to your window tonight
i want to hold you tight tonight
sweet melinda won't you come to your window tonight
everything will be all right tonight

if anyone wants to clean this up and submit it for the grateful dead tabs or something, that would be cool, it's a peter rowan tune, but jerry john kahn and grisman played on the original studio version.
