Hi -
I am starting to play out more with a quality but part time GD band. I've been playing for years but am still a little equipment knowledge challenged. I've been going back and forth between getting tones with separate pedals and wanting the ease of use of a programmable effects board. Have a Vox but the sound isn't great. I've just bought a Zoom G3Xn and the sound is pretty solid. I'm trying to keep things simple. I don't need exact tones. Mostly wandering around Fender sounds (have an old Strat through a reissue 65 Deluxe Recerb). I bounce around between Jerry and Bob and so want to have 4-5 channels set up to go from cleanish country reverb with some drive, to driven lead, some auto wah, and ???

I know there is a lot of discussion here about specific sounds but would anyone have some suggestion for creating some patches / chains of effects to use for this? Anyone else playing with this Zoom I'd be interested in hearing about too.

Thanks in advance.
