Ive heard some people say they use the silent plug cable connectors to save battery life in buffers. Is this true? Could it possibly save battery life with active pickups too? Just a thought...??
I don't see how it could save battery life in anything. Once it's plugged in, the ring and sleeve areas of the TRS jack are just as connected as they are with a non-silent jack.
Unless they mean: "because it's easier to unplug the guitar when you're not using it"
