Rusty the Scoob posted a nice vid on the Bertha bass:

He divides Bertha into 2 parts. Part 2 starts with "I've got to move-ove..."
In part 2, looking at the vid, starting about 4:07 into the vid, I think I see this tab at the start (I'm not showing the timing in this tab, just the notes):

-----------------------------
-----------------------------
-3-4-0-5-5------------3-X-5-
-------------5-5--3-3-------

Did I get it right? Is the second-to-last note above a dead note? (no pun intended ;) )

Thanks

 You're making me self-conscious, tabbing me out like that!

Yep, that's right. Both open As are kind of half-dead notes, with the first one articulated a little more clearly since it helps lead up to the D. It's more a habit of mine than something you really need to emulate, I think. I just find they help me define the rhythm in between the important notes.
