Instead of editing I'm opting to repost an addition and a couple of changes.

Above was the jg lick and here's how I hear bob's intro lick - from 5-8-84 on youtube here

http://youtube.com/watch?v=rCLUaK-aud0

although you can't see anything at the intro the sound is pretty clear.

OK now above (1st post) on this I'm a bit off. First off there is no F# (4 on th D) as far as I can see (although not from this above video although you can tell from others). And jg appears to play just a 2 note chord when he hits more than one note.

Lick over "I just jumped the watchman..."

This I'm just changing the 9 on the D (B) to the 11 (C#) and the end is as true as I can get it to 7-2-88

Figured I'd plop in this link as well - and I did adjust the very end of the line as well.

d----------------------11-------------11>12-------12--12po11---9-9--9-9

For some reason I'm not showing pulloffs and hammers between the 9 and 11 on the B - there are a bunch. I couldn't find even a remotely decent vid of this second portion.

NICE!! I can totally hear the distinction between the 70s cuts and what they are doing in the 80s & 90s!

Thanks!

Right! I'm a big fan of learn a song and play it a few ways.

Some that come to mind:
Cold Rain & Snow
Minglewood
China>Rider transition

etc...

Thanks Bill! Great stuff. Only problem I am having is that when we play this, I usually sing it, but man! Those licks sure are fun to play, so I think on Tuesday I'm gonna see if one of the other guys can take the vocals so I can just noodle away!

Thanks again!
