Q-Tron has HUGE volume spike

Postby peteteacher1976 » Thu Sep 28, 2017 9:47 am

Howdy folks, new to the board but definitely not to the site. Wanted to ask if anyone had any help for what is becoming a problem. My Q-Tron+ has a serious volume spike happening and makes the pedal almost a hassle to use. This has become a recent problem by the way. I also have a similar problem with the Phaser spiking too. Anything would be helpful.

My chain is as follows:

gibson 335
Sarno Steel Guitar Black Box
Soulfood gain
Tubescreamer gain

Welcome! Define spike. When? Only some strings or notes? Happen when Qtron is the only pedal in the chain?

Is this the big box or newer smaller one? I have an original big box I put a volume pot in. It works pretty good.
