Storyteller makes no choice, you decide if he was wise...

Storyteller makes no choice, you decide if he was wise...

Just curious on thoughts about this song. Was he wise to go in there after the lady's fan? I think not. I get it, nothing ventured nothing gained, but love is different... Although, when the sailor comes out again, she fairly leapt at him, how much respect does she actually have for him? Would you want someone who would test you like that?

My mind is open to other interpretations, and admittedly I don't know much about the Jack O' Roses part that didn't make it to the GD performances. Any elaboration on that is appreciated too.

I think of it as very symbolic use of the eternal triangle resolved involving fate or luck.

Then the Terrapin Station metaphor is the Big Destination, whatever we may be reaching for, again the element of luck or fate as some rise, some fall.

Wow! All those forgotten lyrics are a lot to digest. Although they clarify a lot, so many more questions are raised. I could write volumes of notes and questions on this... And I just might!!

Hunter is truly amazing!
